span 10.2 summary

What happens when you visit

  • Hosting. Cloudflare delivers the pages and protects the site. This happens on every visit.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics runs only after you choose “Allow analytics”. Until then nothing is loaded from Google.
  • Email. If you write to me, I receive your address and your message.
  • Everything else is local. Fonts, images and scripts are served from this site. Links to LinkedIn and protocode.rs are ordinary links; nothing loads from those sites unless you click.

I don’t sell personal data, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.

span 10.3 hosting Cloudflare

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the address of the page, the time of the request and your browser’s user agent. It uses this data to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. I don’t use it to identify you.

Cloudflare also derives the country from your IP address. If you arrive from Serbia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina or Montenegro, your first visit opens the Serbian version; you can switch with EN · SR at any time, and your choice is then kept. Only the country is used, and nothing about it is stored.

If Cloudflare needs to tell people from automated traffic, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie (__cf_bm). That cookie does not need consent.

span 10.4 analytics consent first

Analytics, only with consent

I use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google, to understand which pages are read and how people find this site. It runs only if you choose “Allow analytics” in the panel that appears on your first visit. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

When you allow it, Google Analytics collects information about your visit: the pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine or a link), your approximate location at city level, and your device, browser and screen size. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google signals and advertising features are turned off on this site.

Analytics data is kept for 2 months and then deleted by Google.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Measurement stops and the analytics cookies are deleted. Withdrawing doesn’t affect what was measured before.

When you email me

If you write to milos@protocode.rs, I receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. I use them to reply and, if we decide to work together, to prepare that work. My email provider processes messages on my behalf.

I keep correspondence for as long as the conversation needs it, and longer only where the law requires business records to be kept.

legal basis · legitimate interest in replying, or steps before a contract at your request · Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR · Art. 12 Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection

span 10.7 transfers

Transfers outside Serbia and the EU

Cloudflare and Google are based in the United States and may process data there. These transfers rely on the safeguards in their data processing terms, including standard contractual clauses. For visitors from the European Union, both companies also participate in the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask me to:

  • confirm whether I process your personal data and give you a copy of it;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete it, or restrict how it is used;
  • give it to you in a portable format;
  • stop processing based on legitimate interest (objection).

You can withdraw consent at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. To use any of these rights, email milos@protocode.rs. I reply within one month.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Serbia, the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection; in the EU, the data protection authority where you live or work.

This site is not directed at children. If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
